                Our Business

 When it comes to choosing the right company to build or remodel your home, most consumers are apprehensive, and with just cause! There are endless tales of contractor nightmares; aggressive sales tactics, taking deposits and not performing the work, ignored phone calls, absentee project supervisors, hidden costs, and more. 

 My name is Wade McKenna, and I founded Home Works in 1997, with a goal to create a company that would really stand out in the remodeling industry. To deliver quality services that customers could trust, and recommend to others.

 I am proud to say that I have achieved this first of many goals. Meeting with a customer for the first time who may have reservations, or had a negative contracting expierience in the past, is a challenge that I welcome.

  Before the process of starting any project, I want to know that the customer is going to feel confident and comfortable in working with our company. 

  We accomplish this by providing testimonials and references on our first meeting with you. By welcoming you to visit ongoing, and past projects. Also, on this first visit, you will be able to view more photos of projects similar to your own, review our credentials; business licenses, proof of liability insurance, workers compensation certificate for our employees, etc. We can discuss your project, and recommend creative ideas with your needs in mind.

 At our next meeting you can view preliminary drawings of your project, and recieve a detailed written estimate.

 Home Works will handle your project from start to finish, providing all permits, and arrange all inspections. With all work owner supervised, I will make myself available at any time to answer any questions or concerns you may wish to discuss.

 We want to make your contracting expierience a pleasant one. After all, your project is something you should be excited about, every step of the way, and we feel the same!

  After working in the remodeling trade for over 18 years, I started Home Works in 1997 as a one man operation. Working seven days a week, I strived to obtain a reputaion for quality workmanship, puncuality, and honesty. Today we are a thriving, family owned bussiness, with a solid reputation in both Maryland and Delaware.

 Every employee is held to the highest standards at Home Works, Inc. From background checks, to a neat, professional appearance, we demand the best of all our employees. Our employees are experienced in all areas of remodeling, reducing the need for many different sub contractors. This keeps the jobs moving and greatly reduces the overall cost of your project. We have retained the same plumbing and electrical contractor for years, allowing us the ability to schedule them to get  the work done smoothly. All work and materials supplied by Home Works comes with a written warranty.
